"Francis, rebuild my Church"

Francis heard the voice of Jesus speaking from the Cross at San Damiano.
At first, Francis thought Jesus meant to literally rebuild the Church which needed much repair. But Francis soon realized he was being called to do something much more than merely repair a building.

We, as Franciscans, are also being called to "repair" His "Church"
by reaching out to those who feel lost, alienated, and/or excluded
by a Church who seems to be following
a more narrow path of exclsuion
than the wider path of inclusion.
When Jesus stretched out His arms on that Cross,
He drew all to Him,
and through Him to a loving and merciful God.
He gave His Life that
ALL might have Eternal Life...
